Unlike many lightweight probes, the Tourlight XL Probe is a lightweight and full size 2.6m/8'6" avalanche rescue probe.
Like our workhorse, Tourlight Probe, it is one of the easiest and fastest to assemble. Speed cones attached to the end of each probe section speed up assembly. It assembles in seconds by pulling the lead inner tube attached to a coated stainless steel cable. It locks into place with a simple, strong pop-button.
The stainless steel cable has an adjustment knob to adjust cable tension if the probe is loose when assembled. Includes nylon storage bag. The storage bag has strap loops to strap the probe to any shovel handle.

Tech Tip: Combine the lightweight Tourlight XL Probe with the lightweight XLM shovel for one of the lightest avalanche rescue systems available. Compared to some shovel and probe combos, you will have the advantage of a full size 2.6m/8'6" length probe with our system. Using the strap loops on the storage bag, the XL probe can be fastened to the XLM shovel handle with 2 - 9" Voile Straps.
